THE SECRET
I met God in the morning,
When my day was at its best,
And His presence came like sunrise
Like a glory in my breast.
All day long the Presence lingered,
All day long He stayed with me,
And we sailed in perfect calmeness O'er a very troubled sea.
So I think I know the secret,
Learned from many a troubled way;
You must seek Him in the Morning
If you want Him through the day. By Wendy & Jack Brennan

"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centred : Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives: Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies: Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you. Be honest and frank anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous: Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow: Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough: Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God: It was never between you and them anyway." By Mother Teresa
"Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies." By Mother Teresa
"Do not follow where the path may lead.
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." By Muriel Strode
"It is not power that corrupts but fear.
Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it
and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it." By Aung San Suu Kyi "Freedom From Fear" speech
"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul,
then the way it treats its children." By Nelson Mandela
"Where ... do universal human rights begin?
In small places, close to home
so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world.
Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice,
equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination.
Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere." By Eleanor Roosevelt
"Indeed, the test of orderliness in a country is not the number of millionaires it owns,
but the absence of starvation among its masses." By Mahatma Gandhi, Economic and Moral Progress, December 22, 1921.

Feeding the Wolf
The Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about the battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My grandson, the battle is between two
"wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow,
regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt,
resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority and ego."
He continued, "The other is Good. It is joy, peace,
love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness,
benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth,
compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and
then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied,
"The one you feed." By:Unknown

"The helping hands
you're going to need in life
are located at the end
of your arms.
Put yourself into your own hands.
Everybody has two. You can use them
to get a hand-out, sit on them and do nothing, or you
can use them to get a serious grip on yourself.
But when you've put yourself in your own good
hands, don't forget to give yourself
an occasional pat on the back.
Say, "Well done pussycat, you're doing okay!" By:Bryce Courtenay

"Anticipate a world of peace.
Expect health, abundance and love in your life and in the lives of all others.
Know that for every act of apparent evil, there are a million acts of kindness
and that's where you need to focus your attention." By:Wayne Dyer

"We have bigger houses but smaller families more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees, but less sense more knowledge, but less judgement more experts, but more problems more medicines, but less healthiness.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication.
We have become long on quantity but short on quality.
These are times of fast foods but slow digestion.
Tall man but short character.
Steep profits but shallow relationships.
It's a time when there is much in the window but nothing in the room." By:His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
